We know that our event is only as good at the course it’s held on. That’s why our Mud Challenger venue scouts search incredibly hard to find the best tracts of land with awesome terrain and natural features, making our event sites second to none.
Here’s a sneak peek at the Houston venue.
Houston’s Venue: Rugged and diverse terrain on one tract- with lakes, streams, vertical topography changes, open fields, forest land, and various types of other natural features. We strive to bring our participants to a natural venue. Unlike other “mud runs”, we don’t believe in holding our events at racetracks or empty fields.

Visit the “Shirt Shack”, the Official Merch Store of Mud Challenger, on event day, for our special $20 T-Shirt Sale. All Shirts and Tanks will be $20 even. Don’t leave empty handed!
The Campout Village is for those who want the real rugged outdoors experience. Get early access to the Mud Challenger site on Friday, enjoy a campfire with friends, sleep under the stars, and wake up on Mud Challenger day ready to go!
$5 Spectator Tickets will be available until 48 hours before the event and include access to the Spectator Alley which has a good viewpoint of an estimated 40-50% of the course venue. Spectator tickets will be available on-site for $10. Children 13 and under will be admitted for free. All spectators must provide a signed Spectator waiver.
WAIVER & PACKET:
The Mud Challenger Official Challenge Guide Packet & Wavier will emailed 48 hours before the event. Participants will receive Finisher’s Shirt after crossing the Finish Line. There is no physical packet pick-up.
STUFF TO BRING WITH YOU:
Your Signed Waiver. Print and sign your waiver before arriving to the event. Waivers are emailed and posted at the top of this page 48 hours before your event. Please check back for waviers at that time.
Your ID. A valid, government-issued photo ID with name, photo and birth date is mandatory to verify your registration at check-in. If you do not have a photo ID, you will not be able to check-in.
Cash. Bring some money for Parking, kick-ass Mud Challenger food, and Official Shirt Shack Merch. All purchases are *Cash Only* at the event. We strongly suggest bringing cash so you don’t leave sad and hungry.
Other Stuff. Here are some other things to consider bringing on event day: Extra clothes, shoes, and a towel. Old sneakers to donate to Mud Challenger Positive Impact (only sneakers will be collected). Bring insect repellent for mosquitos, and Sunscreen. Additionally you may bring some gloves to protect your hands against climbing and rope obstacles.
PARTICIPANT BAG DROP
Participants will be allowed to check one bag at the event. Drop off on your way in, and pick up on your way out. If you have a spectator with you, consider letting them hold your bag to minimize waiting in line. No re-check permitted. Spectators will not be allowed to check a bag.
PARTICIPANT SHOWERS
Mud Challenger partners with the local fire department at most events to provide participants with a nice cold shower after you’ve traversed our awesome course. Bring a towel. After you’ve cleaned up a bit, be sure to stick around for our signature After Party.
